December has slipped away and treated us to a few warm late December days, quickly followed by blustery cold winds. As we begin the New Year, and focus on beginnings and setting goals, we look forward to observing Martin Luter King Jr. Day and Poverty Awareness month in January. First, let’s reflect on the events of December.
In the month of December Adoption Circle placed one baby in his forever family and two families finalized their adoptions. While 2025 has been a bit slower than previous years, it has been a special one. Each placement has come with its own challenges and great reward. We are looking forward to an amazing 2026!
The big guy in red (SANTA….. I know him!!) made his appearance on 12/25…more importantly so many elves made the day magical for the children of birth moms that placed throughout the year. Wish lists were received and ALL the items were obtained, BIG THANKS to those of you that played a role in our annual toy drive. We couldn’t have made the holiday magic without YOU!
Adoption Circle participated in a community resource fair in Montgomery County. Parents with infants under the age of 1 year were gifted feeding bundles; infant plates, sippy cups and toddler utensils, along with toddler led weaning and choking information. Two pack n plays were raffled at the event. Our goal was to support and educate parents with infants in safe parenting techniques and tools. We look forward to several collaborations we have planned in January and February.

A Note From the Director Of Birth Parent Services…………..
As we close out 2025, it is hard to put into words how the past year has been. What I do know is that I have spoken to many adoptive parents who have been treading water in the deep end of the parenting pool. Identity, relationships with birth family, no relationship with birth family and race – these are just a few of the issues adoptive parents have reached out to us about. I have decided to start a parenting forum of sorts (I’m open to suggestions). I’m thinking of a once-a-month virtual meeting of adoptive parents that come together to brainstorm, collaborate and support one another. To be transparent – I don’t have all the answers, but I believe that if we band together, we can provide your children with the emotional support they so greatly deserve. If you are interested in participating, please email me Kim@adoptioncircle.org I anticipate the first meeting being before the end of the month. I look forward to connecting with you all on this new adventure.
We look forward to 2026 and thank everyone for this past year. Excited to see what is in store for January and the months going forward. Please follow us on our social medial platforms. FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube
